Immigration Map Reflection

“Being able to work on this knowledge map has been a tremendous learning experience for me. I’ve had a lot of experience in doing infographics, but the dimensionality of this project brought a different dynamic to the sort of static work that we’ve done thus far for our sophomore studio. I was pleased to be challenged on this project and I know that were it not for the tough deadlines, pinups, and process crits, I would not have had nearly the same final project. The opportunities afforded to me through this process have been beyond beneficial.
The stipulation that our spreads had to approach utilizing the rhetorical tropes of ethos, pathos, and logos, though challenging, as an additional tool that I believe made this project overall more successful. The mindful attempt to activate different emotional responses from the audience not only adds to a more comprehensive and complete final project, but brings a depth to the overall body of work.”
